 Dr. Cheryl Hopson Dr. Cheryl Hopson

Dr. Cheryl R. Hopson is an assistant professor of English and African American Studies. She received her PhD in English from the University of Kentucky in 2008, and specializes in 20th century African-American and American literature and culture, Third Wave feminism, and generational Black feminisms.  Read more about Dr. Hopson here.

I am thrilled to be realizing my life-long dream of teaching.  I spent the first 25 years of my career working in business, and after selling my escrow business I returned to college.  I finally completed my B.A. and M.A.  in Literature and Writing at California State University San Marcos where my research on women and religion in 18th century literature established a foundation for my work in women’s studies.  Read more about Anne here.
