Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month at the American Legion Post 23, 208 Dishman Lane. The meetings start at 3pm.

Graduates who have served in the US Military are given the "Military Recognition Cord" in honor of their service.

On Feb. 23-24, 2016, WKU Student Veterans Alliance in partnership with WKU PRSSA held "Flags for Freedom" where 1,350 flags placed in the ground in honor of a veteran over the two days. #vetsonthehill

Candoo visited the WKU Owensboro campus on Friday, November 20, 2015. He loved meeting the wonderful staff and getting to tour their campus.

WKU participates in "Greenlight a Vet" as part of their 2015 Veterans Day activities.

WKU Military Student Services

We began serving students in 2011 with the mission to provide personalized support for all our military, veterans and dependents.  Currently, we provide free textbooks for eligible military students through Textbooks For Troops™, support and guidance with GoArmyEd and all TA requests for all branches of the military, a Veterans Resource Center (a dedicated space for military, veterans and dependents) and so much more.

WKU has a long history providing services to the US Military... for 41 years WKU has provided a regional campus dedicated to those stationed at Ft. Knox and for over 70 years WKU has had an ARMY ROTC battalion here on campus.  WKU also offers a special military tuition rate to all currently serving military students (Active Duty, Reserves and National Guard) at $250 per credit hour for undergraduate and graduate courses.
