Candoo visited the WKU Owensboro campus on Friday, November 20, 2015. He loved meeting the wonderful staff and getting to tour their campus.

WKU has been ranked as a "Best for Vets 4-year College" by Military Times Edge magazine for six consecutive years and was ranked as high as #7 in 2014.  We have also been designated as a "Military Friendly School" for EVERY YEAR since 2009 by Victory Media.  We have also been recognized by Best Colleges among the top 10 schools in the 2016 Best Colleges for Veterans and the 2016 Best Online Colleges for Veterans and by U.S. News and World Report as one of the Best Colleges for Veterans of Regional Universities in the South.  Then MONEY, recognized WKU as one of the "25 Great Colleges for Veterans".

WKU Military Student Services

We began serving students in 2011 with the mission to provide personalized support for all our military, veterans and dependents.  Currently, we provide free textbooks for eligible military students through Textbooks For Troops™, support and guidance with GoArmyEd and all TA requests for all branches of the military, a Veterans Resource Center (a dedicated space for military, veterans and dependents) and so much more.

WKU has a long history providing services to the US Military... for 41 years WKU has provided a regional campus dedicated to those stationed at Ft. Knox and for over 70 years WKU has had an ARMY ROTC battalion here on campus.  WKU is a member of Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC) and the SOC Degree Network System which provides you flexible transferability of college credit.  WKU also offers a special military tuition rate to all currently serving military students (Active Duty, Reserves and National Guard) at $250 per credit hour for undergraduate and graduate courses.
