Commuter Parking

HOW DO PARKING PERMIT SALES WORK?

Commuter permit sales are available to students living off campus.

  • NEW for 2019-2020:
    • To improve the parking experience for Commuters, we are introducing "Designated Parking."  Permits will be sold by lot.
    • A new Commuter Lot will be located on Park Street between Cabell Street and 14th Avenue.  The new Park Street Lot will be zoned C4 and will be served by the Topper Transit Big Red Route every 12 minutes during peak service.
    • Please note: the University Blvd Lot is no longer a Commuter Lot.  It will be rezoned for Housing due to the construction of the Freshmen Village.
    • The Park Mobile Permit is replacing the Daily Commuter Permit.
      • Expanded choices for the new year.
      • The Park Mobile permit allows users to pay for availalbe parking reservations by date and location.
    • New Topper Transit Routes (Hilltopper Route and Big Red Route)
  • Commuter permits are sold on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
  • A wait list will be available for each lot after that permit sells out.  Wait lists are released weekly throughout the year.

To be placed on a waiting list, use the permit wait list option on your WKU PARKING ACCOUNT.

Please note: parking lots may be reserved at any time for events or maintenance.  Monitor WKU e-mail or PTS Facebook / Twitter pages for service announcements.
