PCAL Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
WKU's Report It site: Public Safety, Title IX, Student Conduct, Biases, and Information Technology.
Our college is committed to implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion on our campus and supporting these fundamental values in the wider community, our nation, and the world. Racism and other forms of exclusivism and social injustice have a long history in our country and many parts of the world. We believe it is our mission as a part of an institution of higher learning to assist in addressing these social ills by being an example for the rest of society.
Recent violent racism and other negative events have accentuated the need for higher education to take the lead in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, demonstrating to society at large the crucial value of education in addressing such issues. There is no doubt that we also need to improve our performance in this respect. As a result of this realization, the college is committed to creating an environment where our students, staff, and faculty can prosper intellectually, socially, mentally, and physically, and contribute to the progress of our community, country, and world.
