Kentuckians have practiced the art of weaving for more than 200 years. Techniques represented in Even Coverlets Get the Blues range from overshot, double weave, and tied-biederwand to hooked rug making.

The 2019 Ethnographic Film Festival features short ethnographic films produced by undergraduate students in the ANTH 449 Ethnographic Video Production class in the spring semester. "That One Thing" focuses on WKU spirit. "Ragchew" examines ham radio operators. Competitive jump rope is the subject of "Backflips & French Braids." The foodways of international students on campus is the focus of "Reaching for International Foods." The Ethnographic Film Festival is free and open to the public.
