In a WKU Living Learning Community (LLC), students with similar academic or social interests live together on a residence hall floor and participate in activities tailored to their specific majors or interests. LLCs are designed to help you connect socially, succeed academically, engage with WKU faculty, staff, and administrators, and chart your course at WKU.

Although each LLC has unique opportunities, they all share the same vital purpose and goal: nurturing and developing a prosperous Hilltopper student to become engaged with other students and faculty throughout our campus.

Students in our Ogden LLCs will live on the same floor together with fellow members of their specific group (Health Professions, Engineering or Agriculture) in Hugh Poland Hall.  Hugh Poland is one of the most affordable residence halls on campus. It is in a very convenient location on the south end of campus right next to the Preston Center, close to the Den Restaurant and the Pit Stop Convenience Store, and in a location with ample access to parking.

Students must be first year freshman majoring in either a Health Profession, Engineering or Agriculture.  They must take a one credit hour University Experience course in the field of their major and participate in the LLC activities of their major.  There is typically one activity per month during the semester (a meal together, a visit to a facility, etc).  Involvement in the LLC and any related activities is at no additional cost to the student.  If there is a roomate preference, the roommate must also be in the same major and be willing to participate in the LLC.  If there is no roommate preference, students will be paired with another LLC student within their area of study.

*There is no additional cost for a Living Learning Community. However, some LLCs require students to register for specific classes; please refer to the individual LLC descriptions for additional requirements.
