Didi Turley, Voice Performance Major (Mezzo Soprano)
Career Goal: To make a life by creating music and art, performing, and teaching young musicians and artists through a private studio.
During her time on the hill, DiDi has taken the stage countless times with the WKU Chorale, SoKY Choral Society, and in a number of shows, ranging from Puccini’s Suor Angelica to 9 to 5: The Musical. As a member of the WKU Chorale, she has performed across Kentucky, Costa Rica, and most recently at Carnegie Hall in NYC. She has also spent a summer studying Mozart’s opera in Salzburg, Austria. DiDi is a member of the Potter College of Arts and Letters Dean’s Council of Students, where she acts as the student ambassador for the Department of Music. She is also steadily involved with WKU’s dance program, as well as local community theaters throughout Bowling Green.
“My favorite thing about the Department of Music is how much the faculty cares about seeing their students succeed. It’s the kind of environment that drives students to bring the best that they’ve got to the table.”
