Your Climb to the Top Begins with a Plan

WKU M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan 2020

We are excited to welcome the WKU Class of 2024 to WKU!

All M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan programs and activities have been reviewed and adapted to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan has always offered a model for first year students to understand how the upcoming semester is going to look. 2020 is no different, providing students with an opportunity to learn the ropes before they set foot in a classroom. M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan students will have an advantage over other students, having already practiced the new guidelines provided in the WKU Big Red Restart Plan.

Why is attending M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Important?

Data shows that M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan helps students stay in school and graduate on time.

First to second year retention of students increases by7.3% and the on-time graduation rate goes up by 15% for students who participate in M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan.

What Will M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Sessions & Socials Look Like This Year?

Students will attend sessions and socials with small groups of students. This smaller size group will help students maintain social distancing, and will allow for intentional interactions that will allow for strong connections and friendships to be made. Students can still expect to make great friends and memories.

Face masks are required at all events.

Are Meals Provided?

All M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan students are provided with 5 meal swipes.

These meal swipes can be used beginning Monday, August 17 through Thursday, August 20th. Any unused meal swipes will become "bonus meals" on the student's account that can be used at the Fresh Food Company or Hilltopper Hub locations throughout the semester.

Regular student meal plans begin Thursday, August 20th at lunch.

When is Move-In?

M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Move-In will take place August 17-19, 2020, though students can choose to bring their belongings early and come back for M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan later using the Top Drop & Go option.

WKU Housing & Residence Life has modified the move in process for all students to provide a safe and efficient experience for our students and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan students have two move-in options to choose from.

A move-in timeslot is required for all students.
