This "We've Been Everywhere" talk series is intended primarily for the audience of
the WKU employees as an in-service experience to raise the awareness of WKU's aspiration
for international reach.
“We’ve Been Everywhere:” Florence, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast
One of our own Brent Fisk, a circulation and information assistant from WKU's Visual
and Performing Arts Library and his wife Holly Hedden have made a trip to several
of the significant cities in Itlay including Rome, Florence, and Naples. On the morning
of Tuesday, March 24, 2015, he shared their trip with his colleagues of the WKU Libraries
in Cravens 111.
A Literary Tour of Ireland
Lisa Miller, Instructor from the Department of Library Public Services of WKU, gave
a presentation on her frequent trips to Ireland in Helm 100 on the morning of October
28, 2014. Her research interest has led her to many a sight with statues of literary
figures of the nation.
Croatia: Jewel of the Adriatic
Kath Pennavaria, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Visual and Performing
Arts Library from the Department of Library Public Services of WKU, gave a presentation
on her recent trip to Croatia, land of her ancestors, in Helm 100 on the morning of
September 23, 2014. The trip was part of her genealogy research.

Sean Kinder, Associate Professor and Humanities Librarian from the Department of Library
Public Services of WKU, gave a presentation on his to-be-published book Una Merkel:

An Adventure onto the Roof of the World
WKU Libraries' professor and web coordinator Haiwang Yuan received a RCAP grant and
a sabbatical to write his Tibetan Folktales book. On Tuesday, February 25, 2014, he shared his adventurous research trip with
his library colleagues, students, and friends in Helm 100.
