Library Systems Office

We're here to help!

The Library Systems Office is a collaboration between the Libraries and WKU Academic Technology (a department of the IT Division). The staff of the Library Systems Office are members of Academic Technology who are assigned permanently, on a 100% basis, to the Libraries. This office was jointly created in 2012 following the recommendations of an independent consultant team and a Libraries self-study committee to expand and improve technology support in the WKU Libraries.

LSO Vision Statement: Provide technology support and maintain a technology-friendly environment for Library faculty, staff, and students through exceptional customer service.

Office Hours

The Library Systems Office is available during standard university office hours. Support is available for pre-arranged events outside of normal business hours. For support outside office hours, please contact the IT Helpdesk.

WKU Libraries Interlibrary Loan (ILL) System
Information regarding WKU Interlibrary Loan (ILL) systems.

Issue/Question

What is Interlibrary Loan and how do I access the system?

Resolution

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is an agreement among libraries to share library resources needed for research. WKU faculty, staff and students may use ILL as a supplement to the WKU Libraries. Books, journal articles, dissertations, government documents, microfilm materials, and other items may be borrowed via ILL. 

Patrons with an active NetID account will have access to the system. The following patrons are eligible for ILL services: 

  • Faculty
  • WKU Retirees
  • WKU Staff
  • WKU Students

 Note: WKU affiliates and alumni are ineligible for ILL services.

Request Content for WKU Content Feed
Would you like to request content be added to the Hilltopper Content Feed? The Hilltopper Content Feed is a layout managed by WKU IT where clients can submit university related content to be played on certain signs running this particular layout.
