Bio

Jonathan Jeffrey, the Manuscripts & Folklife Archives Coordinator in the Kentucky Library & Museum, is responsible for acquiring, accessioning, cataloging, and providing reference services for unique manuscript items as well as folklore collections.  The collection numbers over one million pages within approximately 4,500 manuscript collections as well as 4,000 audio recordings.  This large repository of primary sources is used by faculty, students, the scholarly community at large as well as the public.  Finding aids for many of the collections are now available on-line via TopSCHOLAR, WKU's digital archives, at http://digitalcommons.wku.edu/ and via the Kentucky Library & Museum's KENCAT at http://wku.pastperfect-online.com/35749cgi/mweb.exe?request=ks 

Jeffrey, who has been with the Kentucky Library & Museum since 1990, also provides research instruction for classes in the use of primary sources and assists with reference duties in the Kentucky Library.  He works with one full-time Archival Assistant and one part-time paraprofessional as well as student assistants and as well as interns and volunteers.
