Telephone Services

 

WKU-IT provides all telephone services for the University including on-campus, local, long distance, and international calling services as well as voice mail service. In addition to those basic services many additional features are available. Contact us with your needs and we will see what we can do for you.

Toll Free Service

In-Bound Toll-Free service allows toll charges for long distance calls to be charged to the called number instead of the caller. A local number is identified as the terminating number, and a toll-free service is assigned to it. The function of the terminating number is not affected, but calls to the toll-free service will ring on that extension.

 

International Calling

For dialing international telephone numbers:

Dial 9 + 011 + Country Code + City Code + Number

Please note: WKU telephones are not initially setup with international calling capability.

 

Billing Portal

Individual Use: The billing portal allows individual to view their charges and calls placed from their assigned number through the customer portal.

Department Use: The billing portal allows budgetary authority and/or designated personal to all telephone and cabling charges for their index.
