Welcome to the Mahurin Honors College at WKU and to H4! My name is Noah Edmonson and I will be your counselor. I am a hometown kid from Bowling Green and I am a senior with a major in Organizational Leadership and a minor in Business Administration. I am currently involved with a fraternity on campus and always enjoy meeting new people.
I believe that it is important to balance the rigors of the classroom with things that you enjoy. A few things that I enjoy are grabbing a meal or coffee with friends, going to a local play, or watching intramural games. These things have helped to shape my favorite college memories, as you stay up too late and talk with friends about some of the tougher subjects of life.
Some advice I would give as you enter your freshman year is to not shy away from those tough subjects. Find older people that can provide wisdom and perspective to the areas you haven’t experienced yet. Those lessons are some that you keep for a lifetime and that you can pass down.
WKU provided a lot of those opportunities for me. I was a part of a church that I learned from people and could teach others. The Organizational Leadership program was also intriguing for my career path, as I want to be a pastor. Also, one of the greatest experiences I have had at WKU is H4. You have such a unique opportunity to meet people that you will spend a lot of quality time with throughout your college experience.
I look forward to being able to share this experience with you all!
