Administrative Student Assistant
My Role in the Honors College
I assist the Honors staff with whatever needs to be done, from working with the budget to answering the phone, making appointments, and helping out every smiling face coming through the door. I don’t consider it work at all!
I graduated from Marion County High School in 2009 and am currently double-majoring in Chemistry and Biology on the Pre-Orthotics and Prosthetics tract.
Hobbies and Interests
I have been given the opportunity to be the Praise Band leader for the Baptist Campus Ministry, singing and playing guitar in whatever way God leads me, worship being my passion. I may even yodel for you sometime. Growing up in an equestrian family, I have always loved to ride and show horses any chance I get.
What Brought Me to the HC
Searching for colleges my senior year of high school, WKU stood out to me above the rest, primarily due to the Honors College. Attending the Governor’s Scholars Program in 2008, I got a taste of what it is like to be surrounded by people who have a true drive for knowledge and benefiting the community and wanted something similar to that in college. The Honors College offers that same concept and opportunities out of this world! The faculty and staff do everything they can in an effort to make the WKU experience special.
A Little About Myself
If you ask anyone who knows me, I am a wee bit clumsy, having a metal spine and arm. I wore back braces at a younger age and boast at the fact that I am slightly bionic, which has inspired me to go into the field of orthotics and prosthetics. I love to goof off and fly by the seat of my pants. Why be normal when you can be yourself?
