About Allison

I’m a junior at WKU, and I am from a small Kentucky town called Radcliff. I am double majoring in Economics and Chinese, and I participate in the Chinese Flagship program at WKU. I have studied abroad in Taiwan and China.

I became involved with Habitat as a sophomore and became the Treasurer that same year. I went to the first meeting and absolutely loved it. My favorite part of Habitat is learning. I love to learn, and this organization teaches not only construction skills, but also life skills. I have learned how to safely use power tools (my favorite is the nail gun) and I have learned a lot about myself and the community by going on builds and trips. My favorite memory is meeting the partner family that received the house that we worked on during a break trip. Getting to know the people that benefit from your hard work is the most meaningful and humbling experience.

This year, I look forward to growing our organization. I am excited to meet new members and spread the joy that this organization brings.
