All degree-seeking and certificate-seeking students must submit a Program of Study within the first semester (or 12 hours of course work). The degree program is developed in consultation with and approved by the student's graduate program advisor. Any changes to the Program of Study must be submitted on a Program of Study Change form.
All programs require a written or oral examination, or completion of an approved capstone course which must be completed by the last day of the academic term. Comprehensive Exam/Capstone Completion forms must be submitted online by the faculty and received in the Graduate School by the final day grades are posted for the term.
Finally, students must submit an Application for Graduation and fee via TopNet the semester prior to completion.
Matriculation as a graduate student is described in detail in the Graduate Catalog. Students should also consult their department/program for any additional requirements for completion. Contact the Graduate School (graduate.records@wku.edu, 270-745-2446) if you have questions.
*Students in a teacher certification program should contact the Office of Professional Educator Services for completion information, 270-745-4300.
