General Process for the Dual Credit Scholarship Program:
The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) will be disbursing Dual Credit Scholarship funds directly to participating post-secondary institutions. Here is an overview of the scholarship process:

  1. High schools submit information to KHEAA that identifies the students scheduled to take dual credit

  2. Students choose the post-secondary institution(s) they prefer for scholarship assistance.

  3. KHEAA awards scholarships and notifies the students and post-secondary institutions.

  4. Institutions verify enrollment, specifying the course for payment, and request funds from KHEAA.

  5. KHEAA disburses funds to the institution; and 6) the institution credits funds to students’ accounts.

KHEAA will send the high schools a report that identifies the students that have been awarded scholarships.
