Endowment Guidelines

The WKU Foundation spending policy allows for a distribution of 4.5 percent of the endowment fund’s trailing three-year market average. In addition, a 1.5 percent management fee is charged by the WKU Foundation to endowed accounts annually. WKU Foundation investments are weighted more toward equities but include fixed income and alternatives.

The minimum size for endowed accounts is $10,000. Endowed accounts are expected to reach their target minimum within five years after initiation.
