2019-2020 Cultural Enhancement Series Event Information

 

Swedish Jam Factory: February 3rd at 7:30 p.m. in Van Meter Hall

Pioneering a new hybrid of tap dance and musical expression, these performers found international fame on Sweden's Got Talent. The Swedish Jam Factory will perform for 75-90 minutes. The duo features Thomas Bergstig and WKU Alum Isaac Middleton from Harlan, Kentucky.

"Grapes of Wrath" - ASC on Tour: February 17th at 7:30 p.m. in Van Meter Hall

An Oklahoma drought during the Great Depression forces the Joad family to flee their home for the promise of a new life in California. Will hope prevail through the hardships and heartbreak? Steinbeck’s classic novel comes to life in this Tony-award-winning stage adaptation. Performed by the American Shakespeare Center.

Father Greg Boyle: April 13th at 7:30 p.m. in Van Meter Hall

Father Greg Boyle is the founder of Homeboy Industires, the largest gang-intervention, rehabilitiation, and re-entry program in the world. His keynote is titled "The Power of Boundless Compassion." He will answer audience questions and host a book signing following his presentation.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served.
