Students from the Department of Public Health participated in the 43rd Annual WKU Student Research Conference on Saturday, March 23. The 316 papers, posters, exhibits, and performances highlighted the research and creative endeavors of the talented graduate and undergraduate students. Two of the Public Health students were among the list of winners for their session. Prachi Chavan, a Public Health graduate student, presented her poster titled “Prevalence of Seat Belt and Booster Seat Among Drivers, Passengers and Children in Barren, Hart and Metcalfe County in Kentucky, USA, 2012” Additional Authors Vickie Poore, Scott Smith, and Gretchen Macy. Caitlin Gover, an undergraduate Health Care Administration major, won for her poster titled “Analysis of House Bill One, the “Pill Mill Bill” (Dr. Gregory Ellis-Griffith).
