Entrepreneurship Minor

The minor in entrepreneurship is an interdisciplinary program designed to work with a vast variety majors across campus. It is suitable for those who might want to have their own business or work in an entrepreneurial environment (including large organizations). This minor draws majors from over 25 different disciplines on campus including Agriculture, Architectural Science, Biology, Broadcasting, Mechanical Engineering, Photojournalism, Theater, to name a few. The minor is coordinated with various departments and the students of all majors are encouraged to meet with entrepreneurial advisors to fit the minor to their career interests.

Degree Requirements

The minor in Entrepreneurship (reference number 355) requires 21 hours in required and elective courses.

Required courses:

  • ECON 150, 202, or 203
  • ACCT 200 - Accounting-Financial
  • MKT 220 - Basic Marketing Concepts
  • ENT 312 – Entrepreneurship
  • ENT or Business Elective
  • ENT or Business Elective
  • ENT or Business Elective

ENT 496 - Small Business Analysis and Strategy is required for Business Majors as one of the three electives. Six hours in the Entrepreneurship minor must not be counted toward any other major or minor.
